MIND SWITCH

Are you stuck in a rut? Most of us are at some point in our lives. As we grow older, there are more responsibilities and sometimes it seems like a never ending cycle of tasks and activities that we do, almost automatically. We wonder, how do we change? What can make that difference to make life better.
The good news is – Life is meant to be lived in abundance! Yes, it’s true. Doesn’t matter in what situation you are in, you can still live a rich, fulfilling life. I’m not saying that overnight you will have millions in your account and all your problems will vanish. But, you can manifest abundance and change your to approach life – this will attract more positive energy and show you where you belong.
There is tons of content about attracting the right energies but the first step towards making that change lies with you. People can inspire you but YOU, have to take that first step. You need to want it and sincerely mean it. It’s not easy, let me tell you that. Years of social conditioning and maybe the way we were brought up as children or we’ve become slaves of habit – often makes us feel that life has to be lived in a certain way, so anything else other than that is not right.
Imagine your mind like a switch – you turn it on and the light glows, you turn it off and the light goes. Our minds are so powerful and we all have the ability to train the way we think and approach life.
Over the years I’ve realised that there are a few thoughts and habits I needed to change. This change helped me in so many ways. From being content with life to achieving my goals. And I’d love to share them with you.
COMPARISION
We compare for a lot of reasons. It could be from childhood when family constantly compares us to the ‘intelligent’ kid next door. At work our managers might compare us to other colleagues or in general at social gatherings people around us are comparing themselves to others. It makes us believe that is the norm. Not true! Comparison only makes you feel worse about yourself. Instead of wishing you could be like someone else or have what they have. Change your thought to “I wish you the best and the same for myself too”. Stop comparing and start appreciating what you have and what others have.
JEALOUSY
That green eyed monster is always lurking around. Usually stems from comparing our lives with others. Watch yourself when you are constantly comparing and feeling inadequate, thee is that tendency for jealousy to rear its ugly head. Instead, when that feeling arises, stop your thoughts, check yourself and say the same thing “ I wish you the best and the same for myself too”. The more positive energy you emanate it’s bound to come back to you. It will take time to get over this emotion but practice to genuinely feel grateful for someone else’s success.
JEALOUSY

BLAME
We want to feel good about ourselves and so when something goes wrong, defence mechanisms kick in and we blame someone or something else. Changing this habit is of utmost importance. Own your feelings and actions. Stop blaming the world for your misery. Escaping the truth and expecting someone else to come and be your saviour will not get you anywhere. Stopping to blame and taking responsibility for your success is the first step to a better more abundant life.
DE-CLUTTER
The Universe loves order. The more organised you are the more will you invite better energies from the Universe. When I talk about order here, I’m not talking about the external order, like the way you dress or organise your desk. Let’s take a look inside our purses, wallets, wardrobes, attics etc. We all have this need sometimes to hoard things. Energy is always moving and unless we declutter our personal belongings and homes, we cannot be open to better more fulfilling things in life. So go ahead and get rid of stuff you’ve been holding on to and open your space to the abundance that the Universe wants to give you.
GRATEFULNESS AND ACCEPTANCE
We want so many things. The list can be endless. Have you ever stopped and been grateful for what you have? Sparing a moment or two and being grateful for where you are and what life has given you, opens up a direct line to abundance. Whatever situation you are in- you can be grateful for so many things – the fact that you are alive and well, you get food on your table, you have fresh air to breathe, etc. And sometimes when life helps you achieve your dreams, stop for a minute and say ‘Thank You’ not just to the Universe but to yourself as well. Being grateful and accepting allows the Universe to send you peace and contentment.
Change is not easy, we all know that; but it’s not impossible either. If you’ve seen artists, singers, musicians, athletes – they practice everyday to give the performance their best. So is change. To let go of habitual thinking, will take a while and practice will help you. There is NOTHING that the mind cannot do. Be patient and empower yourself. And like I say to most – it’s a mind switch- The Light will Glow!!.
