APPRECIATE WE MUST!
Literature and arts were an integral part of my upbringing, even after completing my studies and now working in the field of engineering, my love for writing remains the same. This is the reason that I easily bond with people from the field of literature, but just as the coin has two sides so does the nature of people.
I started writing under my pen name and slowly my network of people with a flair for writing started growing, thereby I got in touch with many new and well acclaimed authors and critics. Most of them became my good friends and guides, but I got one different experience which I will certainly not termed as a bad one for it taught me many lessons which I will always appreciate.
During a time period of six days and just few conversations with him, I got a sea change in my opinion and the way I think about people, in general. First lesson that I got, higher positions does not imply high thinking and vice versa. I appreciate him for showing me that no matter how famous a person is in his career; his thoughts can still stoop to a lowest level.
Second lesson, a lie is a lie no matter how small or big – it’s effect will be, specifically if it has been told intentionally just to forge a bond of friendship. I appreciate him for making me familiar with the fact that even a small lie can do a permanent harm to any relationship be it between professional acquaintances or a personal bonding.
Third lesson, words no matter how charming they are – it means nothing, if they are not incorporated in daily life. I appreciate him for showing me the difference between fake and real persons and promises.
With this, I just want to share with you all that no matter how bad the situation is or how much wrong the person or his intentions are, we can always find something or the other to appreciate and learn from it. As we all are humans and our relation with mistakes is never ending, it’s just that with every mistake we must grow wiser.
Never forget to find a thing to appreciate even during the worst experiences because it is in our own hands to find the silver lining even in the darkest clouds of our life.
