WAS IT KINDNESS?

A little puppy abandoned, I can’t wait to get down
But will my cab driver allow me to carry the pup?
Can love honour others’ feelings?
The banter in my soul debarred me from venturing out.

But instantly my daughter’s cute voice uplifted me
As she never let her dilemma grow.
Instantly she unlock the door stepping out and called,
Mamma why so slow, I know you cannot disown the pup

I was stiffened by her straightforwardness but couldn’t resist
Anymore, the cab drivers cribbing face was no longer an obstacle
Out I ran grabbing my little one’s hand who was already cuddling the little pup
I reverted my mind thoroughly, little did I think what glee this act would cause

As the little stranded pup’s face gave me that warmth which I could never get…
So these little drops of kindness gifted by my cutie
Will one day make the mighty ocean
And drown all the woes…

Her innocent smile turned the fumed driver
To a rusty commoner who too fed the cuddled pup.
